Job summary

Therm-x of California is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform basic visual inspections, record data, and handle incoming inspections with ERP-based PO verification. The role requires CMM operation, reading drawings, and documenting non-conformances.

You will work with quality and production teams in a fast-paced environment, using GD&T concepts and MS Office tools daily. Openings exist for Day and Swing shifts with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Able to perform dimensional inspections using CMMs and hand tools.
• Read product drawings and specifications.
• Write discrepant material reports documenting non-conformances.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understand GD&T and surface plate inspection.

Responsibilities

The Quality Control Inspector will perform basic visual inspection by using devices. Be able to record inspection data onto inspection form. Perform incoming inspection of parts which may include activities such as PO verification using ERP system. We have openings for both Day (7-8 AM start) and Swing shift (2 PM start).

Technical Requirements:

• Perform dimensional inspections independently using a manual Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) as well as DCC CMM and using various mechanical tools such as height gages, micrometers, calipers
• Write a discrepant material report to identify non-conformances found during inspection
• Read product drawings and specifications.
• Utilize MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel & Access.
• Work with quality and production personnel.

Education and Training:

• Use mechanical hand tools such as Caliper and micrometer
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation experience with CMM manager software preferred
• Understanding of GD &T & surface plate inspection
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Read and interpret Blueprints.
