Job summary

HM Richards is seeking a Quality Inspector at our Guntown, MS facility to inspect furniture at the end of the upholstery line. You will raise issues with the Upholstery Line Supervisor or Quality Control Supervisor when items do not meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include checking details like pleats, fabrics, and stitching, and ensuring overall finish and safety compliance. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; factory conditions apply.

each piece of furniture as it reaches the end of the upholstery line prior to it being packed.

Essential Functions Of The Job

Inspects each piece of furniture as it reaches the end of the upholstery line. Contacts Upholstery Line Supervisor and/or Quality Control Supervisor as rejects occur, or questions regarding passing or failing of quality requirements.

Inspects items such as pleats, width of legs, cushion regulation, staples in material, and black bottom. Also checks for waves or pulls in the arms, flaws or tears in material, stains, holes in black bottom, loose tacking strips, etc. Ensures cover is pulled tight on the back and other areas of furniture.

Applies tags and labels as directed.

Attends safety audits as needed.

Performs Other Duties As Required By Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

High School Diploma or GED not required.

Working Conditions

Typical factory working conditions with exposure to heat, dust, oil, etc.

Pay range is $22.50 - 24.00 / hour.
