Description

The Quality Control Inspector will provide focused, hands-on quality support and expertise for all plant related quality issues. This position will visually inspect all products, crates, and packaging prior to products being shipped to customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain all quality control procedures and policies
• Provide hands on quality support and guidance to all staff
• Ensure product meets customer specifications and expectations
• Complete quality checks and supply quality support to all levels of the business
• Enter date into ERP system and assist with creation of reports in Excel
• Maintain the Quality Standard of the product by visually inspecting products, crates, and packaging
• Investigate and assist in determining the root cause and corrective actions for customer complaints
• Conduct training when needed
• Organize trials for new products
• Support and drive continuous improvement throughout the plant
• Coordinate and participate in rework activity

Requirements

• 1-year experience working in Quality in a Manufacturing environment; experience working with glass preferred
• Able to demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem solving, and process improvement
• Proficient with data entry into ERP systems
• Strong skills with MS Word and Excel with ability to create reports
• Able to handle changing priorities
• Able to work independently or within a team
• Proactive and creative problem solver with proven ability to multitask and manage deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

This is a Non-Exempt level position working in a Manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing for long periods and occasionally lifting weight up to 25 pounds is required.
• Must have 20/20 vision with the ability to distinguish between various colors with or without aids such as glasses or contacts.
