Job summary

Flex is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for the Night Shift in Buffalo Grove, IL to support teams building high-quality products. The role focuses on visual inspection of electronic cards and sub-assemblies, ensuring reliability and workmanship against specifications.

You will use gauges, templates, and microscopes, enter data, and communicate any defects to appropriate personnel, while performing process audits and helping disposition of non-conforming materials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs visual inspection of electronic cards, sub-assemblies, and systems to ensure product meets specifications.
• Uses gauges, templates, microscopes, and other tools to verify workmanship.
• Ensures required process operations are performed on inspected products.
• Enters quality data into electronic or manual systems.
• Notifies personnel of unusual defects or process issues.
• Provides timely feedback to manufacturing on non-conforming product.
• Completes administrative quality inspection activities.
• Performs process audits and assists with interpretation of quality standards.
• Assists with disposition of non-conforming materials/product.

Job Description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Quality Control Inspector - Night Shift located in Buffalo Grove, IL.

0600pm-0600am Rotating Shift

Responsibilities

• Performs visual inspection of electronic card and sub-assemblies, and systems or units to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
• Utilizes gages, templates, microscopes and other manufacturing aids to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship.
• Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected.
• Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
• Notifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process falls below acceptable levels.
• Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified.
• Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection.
• Performs process audits and assists manufacturing with the interpretation of the quality and workmanship standards.
• Assists with the disposition of all non-conforming materials/product.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Successful completion of company provided training may be required.
• Typically requires 1+ years of related experience.
