Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have strong hands-on inspection experience in aerospace or electronics.
• Experience inspecting PCB/PCBAs and related hardware to aerospace standards.
• IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 certification is required or preferred.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect PCB/PCBAs, EEE components, cables, and hardware.
• Perform microscopic and dimensional inspections and document results.
• Review drawings, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
• Manage non-conforming material and CAPA/8D processes.
• Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards.

Quality Control Inspector II | Austin, TX | Aerospace & Electronics

EVONA is supporting the search for an experienced Quality Control Inspector II to join an advanced aerospace technology team in Austin, Texas.

This is a hands-on, on-site quality role supporting the manufacture and inspection of sophisticated satellite communication hardware. You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure PCB/PCBA assemblies, electronic components, cable assemblies, and mechanical hardware meet demanding aerospace quality standards.

What you’ll be doing:

• Inspect PCB/PCBAs, EEE components, cable assemblies, and manufactured hardware
• Perform microscopic visual inspection and dimensional inspection using calipers, height/thread gauges, and VMMs
• Review engineering drawings, work instructions, and inspection requirements
• Document inspection results and manage non-conforming material
• Support root cause, corrective action, 8D, MRB, and continuous improvement activities
• Work within AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of relevant quality/inspection experience
• 2+ years specifically inspecting PCB/PCBAs
• IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001
• Strong microscopic visual inspection experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings and detailed technical documentation
• ERP/PLM experience
• Aerospace or electronics industry experience is highly desirable
