Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to measure and visually inspect materials to meet quality requirements. The role uses prints, checklists, calipers, microscopes, spectrophotometers, and other devices across receiving, production, packaging, storage, and shipping stages.

Works independently under established guidelines. The position supports a night shift from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, rotating on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant QC experience required.
• 1–2 years of quality assurance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Records measurements and other critical data.
• Identifies tolerances per drawings and ensures operations stay within limits.
• Stops production and notifies proper personnel on nonconformances.
• Assists in investigation of quality issues and ensures corrective actions.
• Prepares reports and correspondence as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the measurement and visual inspection of material to ensure internal and external customer quality requirements are met. Uses prints, checklists, and various measuring devices including calipers, tape measures, microscopes, spectrophotometers, etc . Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works independently. Completes all required inspections at various points of the manufacturing process including receiving, production, packaging, storage, and shipping.

Schedule

Night shift - 6:00 pm - 6:00 am, rotating 2-2-3 schedule

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Records measurements and other critical data in appropriate manner.
• Identifies acceptable tolerances according to prints and other documents and ensures operations remain within acceptable tolerances.
• Stops production and/or other operations and notifies proper personnel and management upon discovery of nonconformances.
• Assists in investigation of all quality issues and/or occurrences and ensures that corrective measures are implemented.
• Prepares various reports and correspondence as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant QC experience is required
• 1-2 years of quality assurance experience preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Salary Pay Range: $18.00-$25.00 per hour dependent on experience*

Bonus/Incentive Pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, and trip rate bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
