Job summary

Environmental Air Systems in North Carolina seeks an onsite QC Coordinator to manage quality assurance activities on client projects. You will develop and implement QC plans, review submittals, coordinate with subcontractors, and confirm field checks from drawings to testing are completed.

The role requires coordinating with the site team, reviewing specifications, and ensuring documentation is up to date for compliance and project readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance 1.
  • Assist in the development of a quality plan based on contractually identified specifications
  • Determine material and equipment requirements from the approved submittal
  • Implement QC plan.
  • Obtain contract drawings to review.
  • Communicate with subcontractors (electrical, controls) on necessary terminations for EAS provided equipment
  • Understand the job schedule
  • Understand TOP requirements and setup book system
  • Obtain cloud, FTP or file shared site access Quality Control
  • Inspect materials and equipment upon arrival at site, compose report with packing slip verifying compliance with submittal and maintain receiving log /book
  • Ensure all major equipment received matches approved submittal, arrives without defects and is stored properly until installation
  • For equipment that will be stored at length, ensure proper storage / maintaining conditions are kept
  • Ensure welding documents for the job specific welders are current. Ensure correct WPS, PQR and WPQ are congruent. Verify weld logs, travelers and stamps are being properly documented
  • Walk down required mechanical systems with latest P&ID / flow diagrams during installation and prior to pressure / service leak testing
  • Witness all testing within EAS scope such as duct leakage, hydrostatic & pneumatic pressure testing, hi-pot meagering, torquing, grounding, etc.
  • Verify standard checklist are current and being properly executed during installation
  • Participate in rolling completion list / punch list walks.
  • Maintain NCR log as items are introduced and / or corrected.
  • Keep TOP up to date with GC and / or Cx group.
  • Understand layout and operation of job “site” to pull down information such as drawings, specs, submittals and RFI’s.
