Job summary

Medical Devices Company in El Paso, TX is seeking a Quality Control Specialist 1 with a background in general chemistry for a 12-month contract. The role is 40 hours per week, first shift, with overtime as needed.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Microbiology, hands-on lab training, and familiarity with GLP/GCP/cGMP practices. Experience with USP/ISO/ASTM tests and basic calibration oversight is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 must haves on the resumes: Laboratory experience, general chemistry background, organization and time management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Microbiology or other related Life Science.
• 2 years in analytical chemistry (preferred).
• Experience in operating GC and HPLC (preferred).
• Familiar with GLP/GCP/cGMP practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Quality Reports.
• Perform chemical analysis on drug products to include finish goods and/or stability product.
• Maintain and implement efforts in housekeeping, and safety programs.
• Must have awareness and respect of all company policies and safety rules.
• Maintenance of the Calibration program for laboratory equipment.
