Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions’ Riverview facility in Michigan is seeking a Quality Control Chemist I to join the QC team. The role focuses on analytical testing and support for raw materials and intermediates to meet production timelines.

You will document results, verify data, and assist with instrument maintenance in a GMP environment. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry and familiarity with analytical testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of experience in pharmaceutical quality control or equivalent is preferred.
  • Familiarity with analytical testing and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing operations through testing of raw materials and starting materials to meet production timelines.
  • Perform cleaning verifications on multi-use equipment using approved methods.
  • Test reference standards and stability samples; document results in lab notebooks or test records.
  • Maintain records to ensure compliance and assist in documentation revisions as needed.
  • Provide support in maintenance/calibration of laboratory analytical instrumentation.
  • Test intermediates and final products to meet timelines.
  • Assist in revision of documentation and training.
  • Support in calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments.
  • Maintain QC laboratory and organized bench areas.
  • Perform routine water system testing and report results.

The Quality Control Chemist II is responsible for providing analytical chemistry support for the facility. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
