Job summary

Quality Control Chemist

Location: Flanders, NJ

Garonit Pharmaceutical is seeking a Quality Control Chemist to join our growing Quality team at our Flanders, New Jersey facility. This role will support analytical testing and laboratory operations for pharmaceutical manufacturing while ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), applicable regulatory requirements, and Company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sampling and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and packaging components.
  • Conduct testing in accordance with USP compendial methods, approved internal analytical methods, specifications, and procedures.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, including HPLC and other analytical equipment.
  • Support laboratory investigations, deviations, Out-of-Specification (OOS) results, and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities.
  • Assist with analytical method development, transfer, verification, and validation activities, as applicable.
  • Perform environmental monitoring and testing of air, water, and surfaces, as required.
  • Maintain accurate and complete laboratory documentation, records, logs, and related documentation in accordance with cGMP requirements and Company procedures.
  • Support regulatory, customer, and internal audits, including preparation and follow-up activities.
  • Follow applicable laboratory safety requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned based on business and laboratory needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of experience working in a Quality Control laboratory preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated-industry laboratory experience preferred.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical analytical testing and cGMP requirements preferred.
  • Experience operating HPLC and other analytical laboratory instrumentation preferred.
  • Familiarity with USP methods, laboratory documentation practices, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a regulated laboratory environment.
Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000-$90,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related considerations.

This position is also eligible for consideration for a discretionary year-end bonus, based on Company and individual performance. Any bonus is discretionary and is not guaranteed.

About the Role
