Job description

Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Quality Control Biochemist in West Point, Pennsylvania (PA) to work for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Responsibilities for the Quality Control Biochemist include:

1. Utilize skills with HPLC (Empower), SDS-Page, Elisa, Gel Electrophoresis, and UV-VIS to assist in the production and development of vaccines.
2. Assist with endotoxin testing within the lab.
3. Support process improvement projects such as standardization of test methods and the execution of test methods as well as assay validation/qualification.
4. Perform OOS/Deviation investigations and carry out experiments in support of these investigations.
5. Ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines, and procedures.

Qualifications for the Quality Control Biochemist include:

1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience within the development or manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
2. Hands-on experience with Biochemistry techniques.
3. Technical writing experience preferred.
4. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field.

Compensation for the Quality Control Biochemist includes:

1. Salary range is $75,000 – $90,000 dependent upon experience.
2. Comprehensive benefits package.
