Job summary

Revvity Health Sciences, within the BioLegend unit in San Diego, seeks a Quality Control Associate I - Bioassay to test reagents and assist in cell-based assays. Duties include aseptic culture, cell isolation, data analysis, and strict adherence to SOPs.

The role operates Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and collaboration within a busy lab environment. Strong attention to detail and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 12 months of lab experience or Bachelor's with lab experience.
• 1 year of lab experience required.
• 1 year of hands-on sterile cell culture experience.

Responsibilities

• Test reagents per SOP and ISO requirements.
• Perform aseptic cell culture and handle primary cells.
• Isolate primary cells and tissues.
• Analyze data and document results.
• Collaborate with lead to review data and support conclusions.
• Maintain a safe, organized laboratory environment and comply with safety regulations.

Job Summary

At BioLegend we are dedicated to commercializing high quality reagents to support the research community for legendary discoveries. Quality Control Associates will test products such as antibodies and proteins in the following application(s): flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, western blotting, ELISA, multiplex immunoassays and/or functional bioassays.

The candidate will perform all aspects of the assays following SOPs and ISO requirements. Additional responsibilities include culturing mammalian cell lines, isolating primary cells, and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies.

The working hours for this position are Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

Essential Functions

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience

• High school diploma + 12 months of working experience in a laboratory environment or Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline with laboratory experience
• 1 year working experience in a laboratory environment
• 1 year of hands-on experience in sterile cell culture techniques

Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience

• Experience with one or more of the following applications: flow cytometry, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, bioassays, ELISA and IHC/ICC
• Familiarity with basic lab equipment and knowledge of lab safety protocols
• Experience in sterile cell culture technique
• Proficient in scientific math
• Experience with measuring and manipulating small volumes
• Excellent organization, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Maintains clear and accurate records, following good documentation practices
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Proven ability to multi-task

Work Environment & Physical Demands - Lab

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a laboratory environment with occasional data entry on a computer. Occasional exposure to a warehouse environment.

Compensation

The base salary range for this full-time position is $20.00 - $27.00/hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
