Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Manager/Site Safety & Health Officer (QC/SSHO) to join our SES Electrical LLC (SEL) team, a subsidiary of Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH). This role entails overseeing the repair of an existing sump tank liner and the upgrade of a medical facility's cooling tower and chiller system. The ideal candidate will ensure all activities are performed to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to relevant codes, standards, and best practices.

This role is located at Fort Liberty, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Management:

  1. Project Planning and Documentation:
    1. Develop and implement a Quality Control Plan (QCP) that complies with UFGS requirements.
    2. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all QC activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and test results.
    3. Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible for review.
  2. Inspection and Testing:
    1. Conduct pre-work inspections to verify that all materials and equipment meet project specifications.
    2. Monitor and inspect all phases of work, including the repair of the sump tank liner and the installation of temporary and permanent chiller systems.
    3. Coordinate and oversee testing of materials and systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and UFGS standards.

Site Safety and Health Oversight:

  1. Implement and maintain site-specific safety and health plans.
  2. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  3. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
  4. Provide safety training and guidance to all project personnel.
  5. Investigate and report any safety incidents or near-misses.
  6. Maintain daily safety logs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • OSHA 30 hour.
  • USACE CQM Certification.
  • Experience with Procore and RMS.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF.
  • Proven experience as a QC/SSHO on similar federal projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
  • Expertise with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Effective communication and training skills.
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Working Conditions:

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
