Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Possess the ability to learn on the job and develop critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental monitoring, sample collection, testing and result reporting.
• Perform laboratory experiments including bioburden analysis of devices and solutions, media growth promotion, and analysis of biological indicators.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality, monitors own work to ensure quality.
• General laboratory functions such as inventory, control and ordering of laboratory supplies, equipment preventive maintenance, general laboratory housekeeping, and chemical and biohazard waste disposal.
• Practice good documentation practices associated with the generation of raw data, data entry and reporting.
• Perform and document required training to perform job function.
