Silgan Containers Corp is seeking a Quality Control - 1st Shift associate to support the packaging line by performing daily quality checks, preparing First Piece Reports, and conducting ink color checks. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must have been qualified back-up QC Inspector or a qualified Packer/Selector.
• Good reading and writing skills and dependable attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds continually.
• Multitasking in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare First Piece Reports for each line running.
• Perform ink color checks and visual inspections.
• Conduct hourly quality checks on lines.
• Line audit while collecting hourly samples.
• Maintain spec sheets and file new ones in proper place.
• Audit blank bottle finished goods lines in Production.
• Daily plant walk through to identify issues (visual).
• Perform last shot measurement and visual analysis.
• Ensure information on pick lists and stickers is correct.
