Job summary

DBO, LLC in Ohio seeks a Quality Control Inspector to ensure precast concrete products meet specifications, standards, and customer requirements. You will conduct inspections, testing, documentation, and quality audits throughout the production process.

You will monitor batching, test concrete, record results, communicate nonconformances, and support audits while maintaining safe work practices and a clean, organized facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in precast concrete or heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of concrete production processes.
• Mastery of tape measurements and blueprint reading.
• Excellent detail orientation and communication skills to promote accountability for quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of precast concrete units for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality.
• Perform concrete and material testing per ACI, ASTM, PCI, and DOT standards.
• Monitor batching, mix design accuracy, slump, air content, temperature, and unit weights.
• Maintain complete and accurate test results, reports, and quality records.
• Identify and communicate nonconformance issues to production staff; assist in corrective actions.
• Ensure proper curing, handling, and storage of precast elements.
• Support external audits and inspections (PCI, DOT, customer representatives).
• Maintain calibration and care of testing equipment.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices throughout the plant.
• Assist with moving and staging steel, concrete, aggregate and other construction materials
• Continuously learn the new products being produced and transported throughout the facilities
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times

JOB SUMMARY

Quality Control is responsible for ensuring that all precast concrete products are manufactured in accordance with company specifications, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards. This position performs inspections, testing, documentation, and quality audits throughout the production process to verify product integrity, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work on feet for extended periods
• Work in conditions that may include dust, noise, vibration, temperature changes, and outdoor exposure
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and steel-toed shoes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in precast concrete or heavy manufacturing
• Basic knowledge of concrete production processes
• Mastery of tape measurements and blueprint reading
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
