Job summary

MCC, the global leader of premium labels, seeks a Quality Professional at our Batavia plant to champion safety, lead continuous improvement, and strengthen the Quality Management System. You will mentor quality technicians, manage supplier quality, analyze data, and drive corrective actions that prevent defects, ensure compliance with QMS, and support operational excellence across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing technology or Business Administration; 2+ years of direct experience with requisites in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated problem solver with direct experience coaching, teaching, and applying Quality management systems and problem-solving techniques
• Skilled in quality tools such as PDCA, FMEA, control plans, etc
• Six Sigma or CQE preferred (ASQ or equivalent)
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; achieving certifications, establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Champion all aspects of personal and Plant Safety.
• Customer Relationship: Promote a customer-centered culture at the plant.
• Technical Knowledge: Develop and continually improve technical knowledge of processes to improve and solve problems.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote lean practices and data-based improvements using MDI and process confirmation system.
• Quality Improvement: Support quality initiatives and corrective actions; participate in customer claims and root-cause analysis.
• Quality Administration: Monitor QMS performance; enforce standards and procedures; support change management.
• Talent Management: Maintain knowledge via training and certifications; participate in special projects.
• Values: Model corporate values and principles.
