Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. seeks a Quality/CI Director to lead quality management and lean programs across 40+ plants, reporting to Regional VPs. The role supports ISO 9001 compliance and ongoing certification, driving standardization and training for plant QA teams.

The director will steer continuous improvement initiatives, analyze performance metrics, and advance methodologies to mature systems and capabilities in line with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in quality manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS; familiarity with IATF 16949 and AIAG practices.
• CQE certification preferred or equivalent body of knowledge.
• Lean concepts with practical application; Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and Excel charts/templates; strong data analysis.
• Manager-level leadership knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the overall quality management systems of the business segments.
• Oversees the continuous improvement program through standardized practices and training.
• Assist plant locations in maintaining ISO 9001 compliance and certification status.
• Provide training to plant quality managers/coordinators as turnover occurs.
• Drive standardization into quality and lean management systems with best practices.
• Evaluate new methodologies and technologies affecting quality and improvements.
• Support onboarding of new and strategic customers within PPAP processes.
• Provide high-level data analysis and recommend actions for improvement.
• Host regional CI progress meetings and develop next steps to mature systems.
