Salary Range: $74,000.00 To $83,000.00 Annually

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Control Chemist II will be responsible for analyzing and making determinations as to the quality of a product, using analytical equipment pertinent to the appropriate application of skills. This position provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works under general supervision. This position is on-site and not hybrid. The position will start out on day shift, with the possibility of transitioning to swing shift based on business needs. The regular schedule for this position will be Tuesday through Saturday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analysis of bulk chemicals, pharmaceutical compounds, and environmental monitoring samples which require a comprehensive knowledge of chemistry or microbiology and laboratory techniques.
  • General housekeeping including maintaining general cleanliness of laboratories and restocking reagents and laboratory consumables.
  • Conduct review of peer data including more complex analysis.
  • Maintain a through and neat laboratory notebook.
  • Compilation of data obtained from analytical tests, analysis of the data, and reporting of results to appropriate departments.
  • May be responsible for communicating status and timing of analytical testing to internal clients.
  • May lead investigations of laboratory samples and help determine appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address mitigation of investigation assignable cause.
  • May participate in integrated product team (IPT) meetings.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree Chemistry, Microbiology or Related Field required.
  • 2-4 years directly related technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
