Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in Cary, NC is seeking a full-time Quality Automation Engineer 2 to advance automation QA activities and develop software for moderately complex test automation using defined software development practices.

The role requires strong analytical skills, independent work ability, and experience with automation processes; you will lead small projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to improving QA standards within the Software/ Product Development Lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Superior organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and sound judgement.
Experience or training in product or software quality automation processes and methodologies.

Responsibilities

Perform automation quality assurance activities and develop software for moderately complex test automation.
Write and improve automated test scripts and frameworks.
Lead small projects or sub-projects and guide technical direction.
Collaborate in QA reviews and ensure adherence to Garmin testing standards.
Mentor less experienced Quality Automation Engineers.
Define and implement new process improvements and perform peer code reviews.
