Job summary

International Code Council is seeking a Quality Auditor to perform inspections, sampling, and evaluations to ensure compliance with internal, external, and program requirements. The role supports ICC-ES by conducting on-site, in-plant, or remote assessments and maintaining client quality systems.

The candidate will establish strong customer relationships, follow procedures, and coordinate audits and sampling throughout the year, including travel planning and cost control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Sound working knowledge of products and quality standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Experience in building construction, manufacturing, or QA audits preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based programs preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualifying, surveillance, and sampling inspections on-site, in-plant, or remotely.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships to position ICC-ES as a partner.
• Ensure procedures are followed during inspection jobs.
• Monitor client quality systems and review materials and testing requirements.
• Evaluate and communicate client quality status to ICC-ES.
• Schedule factory audits and product sampling.
• Plan travel efficiently and report cost-saving opportunities.
• Meet the assigned number of audits per week as directed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and promote continuous improvement.
• Promote effective communication and share insights on field issues.
