Job summary

Western Industries Plastic Products LLC is seeking a Quality Auditor for the 3rd shift (Midnight-8am) in Winfield, KS. Monday-Friday schedule with weekends and overtime as needed. Starting range $16.00 - $18.00 per hour.

You will verify conformance to specifications, approve conforming parts for shipping, and reject nonconforming parts for scrap. Responsibilities include reviewing specs, performing quality audits, inspecting weight/color/measurements, and documenting all actions.

Qualifications

• Review specifications, blueprints, work directions, and manufacturing notes in the Quality Specification book for each product being produced.
• Perform quality audits throughout production, assembly and prior to shipment of product to maintain QS standards.
• Conduct quality control inspections regarding weight, color, and measurements on product being produced.
• Approve product after inspection to continue through the production process or reject for changes until quality specs are met.
• Communicate timely and professionally with other departments, supervisors and management teams to ensure quality standards.
• Complete required written and electronic paperwork and documentation.

Our Quality Auditor verifies conformance of product to specifications for each part, approving conformance for shipping & delivery or rejecting nonconforming parts for scrap. The auditor gives first part approvals and conducts in-process audits throughout production, providing updates to Quality & Manufacturing Management as needed. Supports R&D activities regarding dimension testing, fit, and functions tests, as well as cosmetic audits.

Work Environment

This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments that are non-climate controlled. Moderate to loud noise levels that require associates to wear hearing protection. Fast-paced team environment with interruptions and ongoing problem solving.

Physical Demands

Occasional climbing, stooping, & crouching. Standing for 8 or more hours per day and walking frequently. Pushing, pulling, gasping with repetitive motions frequently. Lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs. Ability to use tools, and other industrial equipment. Ability to wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
