Job summary

Eight Eleven is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to own quality across our high-traffic eCommerce platform and support nationwide operations. The role is hands-on and technical, guiding QA best practices in a fast-paced Agile environment.

You will design and maintain automated frameworks using Selenium/Playwright, drive functional and end-to-end testing, and partner with development, product, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in QA, with lead or senior role
• Hands-on automation experience with Selenium/Playwright
• Strong QA methodologies, test planning and defect management
• Experience with eCommerce platforms or complex transactional systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Responsibilities

• Lead QA efforts for eCommerce apps including web, APIs and backend services
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Selenium and Playwright
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across complex workflows
• Partner with developers, product managers and DevOps to embed quality in the SDLC
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to design test scenarios and identify risks
• Oversee manual testing when automation is not feasible
• Analyze defects, document findings, and drive resolution
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and monitoring results
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across the team

This role will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of high-traffic digital commerce applications that support nationwide operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable guiding QA best practices in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance efforts for eCommerce applications, including web, APIs, and backend services
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Selenium and Playwrite
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across complex workflows (orders, pricing, inventory, fulfillment, etc.)
• Partner closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the SDLC
• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios and risks early
• Execute and oversee manual testing when automation coverage is not feasible
• Analyze defects, document findings clearly, and drive resolution through collaboration
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and monitoring test results
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote QA best practices across the team

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of QA experience, with experience in a lead or senior QA role
• Strong experience with test automation, particularly Selenium (Java, Python, or similar)
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management
• Experience testing eCommerce platforms or complex transactional systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
