Job summary

MSI Express, Inc. is hiring a Quality Technician to ensure product quality through daily line audits and adherence to customer and regulatory standards. You will approve batches, monitor core checks, and help maintain food safety and quality across processes.

Key duties include performing lab tests, pre-ops, PC checks, and coaching production staff on data collection while following SOPs and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Stand/walk/bend/crouch for long shifts.
• Coordinate eye/hand/foot movements with equipment.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and handle materials safely.
• Pass all company testing and follow written directions.
• Basic computer skills and accurate quality documentation.
• Read and write effectively and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Approve/correct batches – apply basic lab techniques and use testing equipment.
• Perform lab checks according to defined SOPs and monitor specified items.
• Perform pre-ops and Preventive Control checks.
• Notify appropriate personnel when noncompliance is found.
• Conduct analytical tests (e.g., VC, Salt, Brix, pH, DS meter, TA, Vit C).
• Test raw materials and finished product against procedures.
• Perform special audits for materials or products on hold.
• Maintain responsibility for Food Safety and Quality within scope.
• Report Food Safety/Quality issues promptly to action owners.
• Follow manufacturing and safety policies; coach line data collection.
