Job summary

Amcor Healthcare Packaging New London is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support the QA Manager in maintaining the quality system and ensuring product conformance. You will verify testing, record results, quarantine non-conforming material and assist in calibration and SPC studies.

The role involves learning inspection methods, training personnel, and reviewing shift documentation to uphold Amcor’s quality standards and customer satisfaction. Safe workplace practices are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years packaging industry experience is a plus.
• Minimum 1–2 years experience as a quality technician is required.
• Ability to stand, sit and walk; exposure to loud production areas and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform verification testing as specified in the specifications.
• Record test results and file QC records; quarantine non-conforming material.
• Audit data and release product from quality inspection.
• Maintain calibration records and assist in Gage R&R studies.
• Assist in training personnel in inspection methods and quality requirements.
• Review documentation at shift huddles and assist in SPC studies.
• Support process capability and control studies to assure product quality.
• Ensure calibration system is maintained and retention of quality records.
