Job summary

Kevin’s Natural Foods in Stockton, CA is seeking a QA professional to monitor critical control points, ensure food safety and quality, and support sanitation programs. You will work closely with production, verify allergen procedures, and maintain documentation while upholding GMP and safety standards.

Applicants should have 1–3 years in food processing, a microbiology/food science degree, HACCP knowledge, and strong communication skills. Overtime may be required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a food processing environment.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a meat or poultry processing environment preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree or Diploma in Microbiology or food science.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, allergens, and food defense
  • HACCP Certification.
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.
  • Flexibility to work mandatory overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and program critical control points to ensure food safety and quality throughout manufacturing.
  • Perform sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and areas as required.
  • Record and file all relevant logs and documentation accurately.
  • Ensure correct recipe guidelines are met during processing.
  • Collaborate with production staff on sanitation, hygiene, GMPs and other safety guidelines.
  • Issue disciplinary action when directed by QA management.
  • Collect product samples for development, lab retention, and testing as directed.
  • Inspect products, equipment, and machinery for compliance.
  • Handle other duties and projects as assigned by QA Management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.

  • Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
