Job summary

Adventurer Manufacturing, a family-run maker of outdoor adventure vehicles, seeks a Quality Assurance Technician to support production quality and safety. You will perform inspections, document results, and assist with root cause investigations to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related manufacturing experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with thorough inspection ability.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work time in a team and individually.
  • Basic computer skills and accurate quality record keeping.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license.
  • Experience with writing investigations, QA operations, and QC analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of motorhomes and truck campers.
  • Inspect interior and exterior workmanship for defects and quality.
  • Review quality standards and ensure product quality and safety.
  • Perform functional checks and basic troubleshooting of vehicle systems.
  • Document inspection results accurately and timely.
  • Escalate safety, regulatory, high-risk, or recurring quality issues.
  • Support MRB activities and internal audits.

An ideal Quality Assurance Technician will be one of a team of quality investigators that provides support to the production team in areas of deviations, investigations, corrective and preventive actions and other QA Compliance activities to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of motorhomes and truck campers.
  • Inspect interior and exterior workmanship for defects, damage, fit and finish, cleanliness, and overall quality.
  • Responsible for reviewing quality standards, processes and to assure product quality and safety.
  • Perform functional checks and basic troubleshooting of vehicle and RV systems as required.
  • Document inspection results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Escalate safety-related, regulatory, high-risk, or recurring quality issues to the appropriate Quality, Production, or Engineering personnel.
  • Work with Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel to identify potential root causes during Root Cause Corrective Action investigations
  • Support internal audits, customer inspections, regulatory inspections, and other quality activities.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities when required.
  • Provide feedback on inspection standards and identify areas where quality requirements are unclear or difficult to verify.
  • Promote a culture in which quality is built into the process rather than inspected into the product.
  • Accountable for working with Production Team to ensure and follow up on implementation of resolution actions that are raised by deviations, audit or regulatory inspections.

Skills and Experience:

  • Must have demonstrated effective communication and teamwork ability.
  • Highly detailed and thorough in performing inspection tasks.
  • Willingness to ask questions, persist in the face of tough problems, and continuously learn.
  • Must possess a strong ability to organize and prioritize work time as a team, as well as individually.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter and maintain quality records.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with writing, investigations, building and manufacturing processes/systems, QA operation systems, and QC analysis.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted. Bending, twisting, climbing, crawling on a regular basis.
  • Must have valid Washington State driver's license.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles in a safe and courteous manner while performing on the road Quality Inspection.
  • Systems Experience a plus – 110v/12v electrical, RV plumbing, Propane, and HVAC systems.
  • Manufacturing and/or Recreational Vehicle background a plus.
