Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Memphis is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure product quality and compliance with customer expectations. You will perform daily quality checks and maintain records.

You will work with production teams to verify measurement data, conduct tests, and document results, while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role emphasizes attention to detail and accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school training preferred.
  • Experience reading gauges and using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document results clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Safety and Quality procedures to ensure a safe environment.
  • Ensure compliance of Product Quality to meet customer expectations.
  • Perform daily quality control inspections, checks, and tests; document results.
  • Conduct performance testing and maintain records to satisfy requirements.
  • Review production schedule and prepare batch documentation and labels.
  • Escalate issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Work with frontline staff and supervisors to adjust processes as needed.
  • Maintain organized and professional work area.
  • Assist with line clearance and hold for inspection.
  • Write, train, and follow procedures.

Job description

  • Follows all Safety and Quality procedures and observes the operations to ensure a safe environment.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance of “Product Quality” of the product, to meet the expectation of our customers.
  • Performs daily quality control inspections, checks, functional tests, documents and disseminates results.
  • Conduct performance testing, completing appropriate documentation and maintain records to satisfy contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Review production schedule and create batch documentation and labels.
  • Follows procedure for containments and defective material, placing material on hold and documentation. (Hold for Inspection)
  • Escalate issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Works closely with front line, operators and production supervisors to advise when adjustments are needed.
  • Interact with production personnel to ensure quality checks, packaging, documentation requirements and the quality system is clearly understood.
  • Write, train, and follow procedures.
  • Maintain the work area in an organized and professional manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Write, train, and follow procedures.

Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years related trade school training; or equivalent of education and experience in similar environment
  • Use and understanding of precision measuring instruments and gauges, specifications, charts and diagrams, understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GDT)
  • Ability to accurately read measuring devices, product specifications and test procedures
  • Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Computer skills are required; familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping
