Job summary

Chike in Abilene, TX is seeking a Quality Assurance Tech to oversee food safety compliance and sanitation programs. The role focuses on maintaining SSOPs, training staff, supervising sanitation periods, and ensuring proper chemical handling, labeling, and inventory control.

Responsibilities include verification of QA checks, GMP adherence, HACCP implementation, and coordination with QA management to resolve deficiencies and ensure a clean, compliant production environment.

• PPE availability and sanitation
• Sanitation equipment maintenance
• ATP and Allergen swabbing verification
• Daily/weekly/monthly sanitation scheduling
• Communicating sanitation deficiencies to QA Manager
• Environmental compliance implementation

Responsibilities

• Verify metal detector checks
• Assist in verification of raw ingredients and lot numbers
• Ensure GMPs are followed daily
• Assist in monthly Food Safety inspections
• Assist in HACCP plan implementation

Quality Assurance Tech Job Responsibilities:

1. Creating, training, updating, auditing and issuing all SSOP's
2. Overseeing and participating in all sanitation periods as they happen
3. Monitoring the production schedule to prepare in advance for sanitation
4. Training on all chemicals
5. Training on all sanitation equipment
6. Training on chemical safety
7. Maintaining all sanitation related trainings
8. Checking chemical titrations and recording results
9. Maintain all chemical approvals and supporting documents to include: Allergen Statement, SDS, Technical Data Sheet, Food-Grade and Non-Food Grade Sheet
10. Maintaining Proper Chemical Labeling and Storage
11. Maintaining sufficient chemical inventory (weekly)
12. Ensuring front of house is maintained in a cleanly matter
13. Ensuring proper PPE is in-house, utilized and maintained in a sanitary manner
14. Maintaining all sanitation equipment
15. Verification swabbing for both ATP and Allergen
16. Maintaining daily, weekly and monthly sanitation schedule
17. Communicating all sanitation deficiencies to the QA Manager
18. Conducting and implementing Environmental Compliance

To oversee quality functions as they pertain to Food Safety Compliance to include:

1. Verification of Production QA Checks when assigned
2. Completion and verification of Metal Detector checks
3. Assisting in verification of all raw ingredient materials and lot numbers used in Pre-weigh and Blending rooms
4. Ensuring all GMP's are being followed on a daily basis
5. Assisting in monthly Food Safety inspections
6. Assisting in implementation of our HACCP plan
