Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required.
• 2+ years of management experience in Quality Assurance.
• 4+ years of experience with Food Safety (GFSI, GMP, Organic).
• 3+ years of experience cGMP of OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, and Dietary Supplements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain document control and updates to QA food safety documents (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Lead HACCP programs, train employees, and audit programs.
• Investigate customer complaints, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead HACCP team meetings, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
• Support deviation investigations, CAPA generation and implementation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies; support audits.

Job Description

Job Purpose: The Quality Assurance Supervisor will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products and/or development processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance of document control. This includes direct responsibility for updates to all quality control and food safety documents (e.g. HACCP, GMP, Sanitation, etc.) and assistance in the evaluation of current and proposed system procedures.
• Work with Facilities Director in the development, implementation and maintenance of Food Safety (HACCP) programs including employee training and program auditing.
• Lead customer complaint resolution while able to conduct investigation, root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions.
• Lead HACCP team meetings, maintain members’ qualification, develop risk assessment and mitigate plan.
• Drive and implement improved processes and conduct special projects as guided by Facilities Director.
• Must also have the knowledge to aid in deviation investigation/resolution and generation/implementation of identified CAPAs.
• Updates job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
• Ensure compliance of all FoodSafety and Quality Programs including GMP, Organic and CGMP Integrated Pest Management

Additional Responsibilities: This is a supervisory position and will have direct reports

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Dietary Supplements for warehouse and transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers and auditors.
• Project management skills and proficiency in analyzing and interpreting test data

Education and/or Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed required.
• 2+ years of management of Quality Assurance
• 4+ years of experience with Food Safety (GFSI, GMP, and Organic)
• 3+ years of experience cGMP of OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, and Dietary Supplements
• Experience creating and implementing Pre-requisites and regulatory documentation Practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System Standards
• Experience leading FDA audits in a regulated industry

Computer Skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Pay Range
