Job summary

Talent HRizon seeks a Quality Assurance professional for a manufacturing environment. You will diagnose quality issues, perform CMM programming, and lead improvements across production teams while supporting project-based tasks and metrics. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in QA in manufacturing or an engineering degree, proficiency in MS Office, and strong statistics knowledge to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or undergraduate degree in a technical/quantitative field.
  • 3–5 years of quality assurance experience in manufacturing or a technical degree.
  • CMM programming experience required.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards, testing methods, and basic statistics.
  • MS Office proficiency with ability to create data-driven reports and graphs.
  • Strong math, technical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities during high workload periods.
  • willingness to travel to vendor or customer sites with occasional overnight trips.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, respond and resolve shop floor and quality related issues with urgency and accuracy.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding nonconformance and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and production staff to support projects and improve quality.
  • Manage tasks and priorities with minimal daily supervision.
  • Perform incoming and outgoing quality inspections and assess materials and finished products.
  • Reject non-conforming products and implement containment plans as needed.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Create CMM programs and other electronic measurement programs.
  • Recommend improvements to production processes for quality control.
  • Document inspection results through detailed reports and performance records.
  • Lead and support production teams addressing quality concerns.
  • Assess quality performance and contribute to strategic plans and metrics.
  • Perform advanced Quality Assurance tasks and track medium to large projects.
  • Work with Quality and Manufacturing associates to complete projects.
  • Develop and maintain job function instructions and guidelines.
  • Meet deadlines during periods of high workload and travel as required.
