FCS is actively seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist (1st Shift) for their top client in the Newark, DE area. POSITION OVERVIEW:
The QA Specialist will be responsible for leading and performing first piece, in-process and final dimensional and visual inspections, on a variety of complex, precision machined plastic and metal parts, ensuring compliance to all internal manufacturing instructions and customer specifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within a high precision CNC Machining environment.
• Strong understanding of CNC Machining principles and best practices for setting up and operating complex machinery, and GD&T experience (Geometric dimension and Tolerancing).
• Well-versed in utilizing instruments, calipers, micrometers, surface gauges, linear scales, pins, thread, custom gages, comparators, profiles, and electronic measuring equipment (e.g., CMM).
• Experience performing and completing all First Articles per customer requirements, inspecting incoming plastic & metal raw materials, components, and parts, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings with respect to dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Ensure all ISO 9001 certifications are correct and legible.
• Verifies correctness of documentation and routes material to the next operation or rejection material and prepares a rejection report.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and identify potential production issues with CNC Machining centers.
• Perform initial part production runs, evaluate measurement results, implement corrective actions, and make program changes to the control system as needed.
• Ability to identify proper cutting tools and set precise speeds to maximize quality while minimizing material waste.
• Previous experience in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 facility is a plus.
