Fresh & Ready Foods, part of Canteen, is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist (Ready to Eat Foods) to drive food safety and quality initiatives in compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF and customer requirements.

You will maintain HACCP programs, conduct audits, investigate issues, implement CAPAs, manage regulatory documentation and train employees to foster a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Bachelor degree in food science, microbiology, public health or related field.
• HACCP, PCQI certification required and Preventive Controls knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with audits, food safety docs and quality systems in food manufacturing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA and SQF regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, SQF, customer and company food safety and quality requirements.
• Develop, update and maintain food safety, sanitation, maintenance and quality procedures and training programs.
• Review QA documentation for raw materials, packaging, and finished products for spec compliance.
• Participate in customer complaint investigations and document non-conformances and deviations.
• Perform root cause analyses and support CAPA implementation from audits.
• Support environmental monitoring and sanitation programs.
• Review QA and production documents including CCPs/CPs and sanitation records.
• Maintain and update food safety and quality records per procedures.
• Verify product labels for compliance with specs, nutrition and allergen declarations.
• Maintain ingredient specs, nutrition facts and allergen declarations.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on supplier docs, certifications and LOGs.
• Participate in audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Provide food safety and quality training to employees as needed.
