Job summary

LAUKOA seeks a QA/QC Technician–Facilities Support Services in Charleston, SC, to assist the QA/QC Manager in quality assurance across maintenance, janitorial, groundskeeping, and environmental functions. You will help ensure contract compliance, drive improvements, and maintain documentation for reporting to COR.

The role emphasizes inspecting services, maintaining logs, and supporting performance reviews, with on-site duties typical 0700–1600 hours and on-call readiness as needed.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of recent QA or performance evaluation experience on federal support contracts.
  • Experience managing Quality Control Plans per FAR and government contracting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and facility operations standards/regulations.
  • Familiarity with CMMS, inspection templates, and performance tracking tools.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and liaise with government reps and contractor staff.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Control Plan per contract requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of service areas (maintenance, custodial, grounds, environmental).
  • Identify deficiencies, document findings, and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Maintain inspection logs, service documentation, and monthly performance reports for COR.
  • Ensure adherence to PWS, safety regulations, and SOPs.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis and recommend process improvements.
  • Support pre-performance meetings and customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Collaborate with QC/QA Manager, Project Manager, supervisors and leads on standards.
  • Maintain training documentation and quality tracking tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reporting/documentation systems.
  • Proficient in oral and written communications in English.

Job Title: Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Technician– Facilities Support Services

Job Summary: Ensure contract compliance and service excellence at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and Naval Weapons Station in Charleston, SC. As LAUKOA’s QA Technician, you assist the LAUKOA QA/QC Manager in overseeing quality assurance and quality control for all facilities support services, including maintenance, janitorial, groundskeeping, and environmental functions. Your role is critical to maintaining performance standards, identifying deficiencies, and driving continuous improvement across the contract.

Location: Charleston, SC

Salary: $23.26 per hour, plus an additional $5.09/hour Health & Welfare (H&W) benefit, for a total compensation of $28.35 per hour. (Salary may be negotiable and may be increased based on relevant experience and qualifications.)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Control Plan in compliance with contract requirements and Section C performance objectives.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of all service areas, including facilities maintenance, custodial services, grounds maintenance, and environmental/safety functions.
  • Identify performance deficiencies, document findings, and track corrective actions to resolution.
  • Maintain inspection logs, service documentation, and monthly performance reports for submission to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
  • Monitor adherence to the Performance Work Statement (PWS), safety regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist with root‑cause analysis efforts and recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Support pre‑performance meetings, customer satisfaction surveys, and performance review briefings.
  • Collaborate with the QC/QA Manager, Project Manager, supervisors, and functional leads to ensure compliance with all contractual, safety, and operational standards.
  • Maintain documentation for training, certifications, and quality tracking tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reporting/documentation systems.
  • Proficient in oral and written communications in English.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Shall possess at least two (2) years of recent experience in quality assurance or performance evaluation for federal support services contracts, including experience with facility maintenance, janitorial, or base operations support.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Quality Control Plans in accordance with FAR and government contracting requirements.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable facility operations standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), inspection templates, and service performance tracking tools.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and interact professionally with government representatives and contractor staff.
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience accepted.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a favorable adjudication via a DHS background investigation and maintain suitability clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with work authorization.
  • This position may require the operation of Company‑provided vehicles. If operating Company‑provided vehicles, maintaining a valid driver’s license in good standing is a condition of employment. If operating Company‑provided vehicles, employee must comply with all Company vehicle use and safety policies, as well as all applicable traffic laws. If operating Company‑provided vehicles, the Company may review your motor vehicle record (MVR), as permitted by law, to verify eligibility to operate Company vehicles. If operating Company‑provided vehicles, you must immediately notify the Company if your driver’s license is suspended, revoked, restricted, expires, or if your driving privileges otherwise change.
  • Work Hours are 0700 – 1600 with availability to be on‑call outside of work hours.
