Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection and documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and ASME Y14.5 GD&T concepts.
• Proficiency with inspection tools for precise measurements and verifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform 1st article and in-process inspections for machining operations.
• Conduct final inspection and acceptance testing.
• Verify stamping markings and verify dimensions per drawings.
• Perform mechanical testing (hardness, tensile, thickness) and PMI/ coating thickness assessments.

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector with minimum 3 years of experience. Will be responsible for reviewing prints and inspecting products visually and utilizing specific tools. Must have experience with calipers, micrometers, dial indications, gages, and optical comparator devices. Will complete mechanical testing for hardness, tensile, and thickness. Must also be organized and keep clean accurate records.

• 1st article and in-process inspections for machining operations.
• Final inspection and acceptance duties
• Verification of stamp marking
• Mechanical testing; Hardness, tensile, and charpy (job training provided as needed)
• Positive Material Identification (PMI) testing
• Coating Thickness testing

Experienced with the following tools:

• Caliper/height gage
• Micrometer – Outer Diameter Micrometer, Blade Micrometer, and Pitch micrometer.
• Dial indicators and their use
• Use of go/no go gages, pin selection, and use.
• Optical comparator
• GD&T Concepts – Positional, circular runout, and total runout.
• Drawing interpretation in accordance with ASME Y14.5
