Job summary

Unknown company in Tempe, AZ seeks an experienced Quality Manager to direct quality strategy and compliance for a multisite defense/aerospace operation. On-site role leading a team of engineers, inspectors and CMM technicians, coordinating with Engineering and Manufacturing to meet site objectives.

Responsibilities include AS9100 and NADCAP compliance, continuous improvement, and serving as the primary contact for customer and supplier quality matters. Ten years in a similar role is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Quality Systems Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years managing a Quality department in a semiconductor/defense/aerospace environment.
• In-depth knowledge of precision metal machining and special processes.
• Solid understanding of and experience with Quality Management Systems.
• Proven leadership and team management capability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Customer, Internal, and Industry audit requirements
• Experience developing and executing zero-defect plans to reduce COPQ.
• Working knowledge of PDCA methodology and RCCA tools (5 Whys, 8D).

This is a direct-hire, long term career opportunity offering room for advancement, the starting base pay range is $100K-$120K plus benefits and incentives. This role requires daily on-site presence at our manufacturing facility in Tempe, Arizona
