Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 10 years in quality engineering/inspection in a manufacturing environment using CMM tools
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience leading a manufacturing team
  • Experience supporting CNC machining and precision manufacturing preferred
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills across all levels
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Proficient with ERP, email and reporting
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PPAP, DFMEA, DOE, SPC, GR&R, and Cpk analyses

  • Participate in design reviews and provide quality input for changes
  • Facilitate supplier approvals, source inspections, and supplier audits
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001 and customer requirements

What will you do?

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading our Quality Department and overseeing all quality-related activities. This role serves as a connection between multiple areas of the company including sales, production, project management, and our vendors and customers. Daily activities would include supervision and scheduling of all resources and personnel, detailed communication with other departments, and ensuring best principles for inspection processes are being used. The QA Manager reports directly to the Director of Quality and must have exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to excellence. They must understand and uphold all company standards and customer requirements across their department’s work. In this role, you support the manufacturing of a wide range of complex components, ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to engineering specifications.

  • Review manufacturing instructions and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in design reviews and provide quality and manufacturability input for new product development and engineering changes
  • Help facilitate supplier approvals, source inspections, and supplier audits
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer requirements, and internal quality standards
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of quality engineering or quality inspector experience in a manufacturing environment using a variety of CMM equipment and tools
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting CNC machining and precision manufacturing preferred
  • Solid communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to operate under high-pressure and deadline driven environments
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Basic computer skills including email, ERP software, and reporting
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies including:
  • Lean Mfg, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PPAP, DFMEA, DOE, SPC, GR&R, Cpk Analysis
