Working cross‑functionally with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Project Management, the QA/QC Manager ensures all products meet stringent mechanical, electrical, and acoustic standards—particularly those required by hyperscale data center customers.

This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring daily presence on the production floor, active participation in root‑cause investigations, ownership of FAT documentation, and continuous improvement of quality systems and processes.

  • Develop and maintain inspection records for nonconforming incoming materials.
  • Coordinate and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and customer witness testing.
  • Own and finalize FAT documentation packages.
  • Partner with Engineering and Electrical teams to verify proper installation and adherence to specifications.
  • Oversee mechanical quality inspections, including welds, sheet metal dimensions, and vibration testing.
Nonconformance, CAPA & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Nonconformance (NCR) and Corrective/Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
  • Conduct root‑cause investigations using methodologies such as 5‑Why and Fishbone (Ishikawa).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with Shop Management to ensure completeness and readiness of units prior to shipment.
  • Track and reduce rework and cost of poor quality (COPQ).
  • Partner with Engineering on documentation review prior to production release.
People Leadership
  • Develop skills matrices, training programs, and cross‑functional training plans.
  • Set performance expectations and conduct regular feedback sessions and performance reviews.
  • Train production staff on quality standards and safety compliance.
  • Oversee execution of quality inspections and testing processes.
Customer & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customers and third‑party inspectors.
  • Partner with Engineering on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Collaborate with Operations on production holds, releases, and rework decisions.
Required Qualifications
