Job summary

Talent HRizon is recruiting a Quality Manager for an established food-manufacturing client in the Lafayette, Louisiana area. This hands-on role leads the facility’s food safety, quality, laboratory and sanitation functions on-site.

You will maintain GFSI certification, lead third‑party and regulatory audits, develop employees and drive continuous improvement while partnering with production, maintenance and plant leadership to achieve quality goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on quality leadership in food manufacturing.
• Experience owning SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000 or other GFSI program.
• Experience leading certification or recertification audits.

Talent HRizon is recruiting a Quality Manager for an established food-manufacturing client in the Lafayette, Louisiana area. This position will lead the facility’s food safety, quality, laboratory and sanitation functions.

The operation is stable and has experienced employees and established quality systems. The company needs a hands‑on leader who can independently manage its GFSI program, lead audits, develop team members and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all facility Food Safety and Quality systems.
• Maintain GFSI certification and lead third‑party and regulatory audits.
• Oversee the quality laboratory and third-shift sanitation team.
• Manage HACCP, preventive controls, GMPs, sanitation, environmental monitoring and corrective actions.
• Develop employees and improve team capability and accountability.
• Partner with production, maintenance and plant leadership on quality improvements.
• Maintain audit readiness and address customer, supplier and regulatory issues.

Required Qualifications

• Quality leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• Direct ownership of SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000 or another GFSI-recognized program.
• Experience personally leading certification or recertification audits.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, preventive controls and sanitation systems.
• Proven experience leading and developing quality, laboratory or sanitation employees.
• Ability to work on‑site in the Lafayette area.

Experience in agricultural processing, sauces, canning, produce or ingredients is preferred. SQF Practitioner, HACCP or PCQI credentials are also desirable.
