Job Duties:

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the agency’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program to ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, state regulations, and accrediting body standards. This role leads quality initiatives, supports survey readiness, improves clinical outcomes, and promotes a culture of continuous quality improvement across the agency.

• Develop, implement, and manage the agency’s QAPI program, in accordance with CMS, state, and accreditation requirements.
• Identify, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators, clinical outcomes, and quality metrics.
• Lead performance improvement projects and evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Oversee the preparation of the quality reports for leadership, governing body, and QAPI committees.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs), state licensure rules, and accrediting organization standards (ACHC, CHAP, Joint Commission).
• Monitor with the DON, the regulatory changes and oversee updates to policies and procedures.
• Assist DON in the conduct internal audits and oversee corrective action plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for surveys, audits, and inspections.
• Oversee clinical record reviews for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify trends and deficiencies and collaborate with clinical leadership to address gaps.
• Ensure proper documentation standards related to OASIS, plans of care, and visit notes.
• Coordinate survey activities, responses, and development of Plans of Correction (POCs).
• Support the DON in infection control, patient safety, and emergency preparedness initiatives.
• Provide education and training to clinical and administrative staff related to quality, compliance, and best practices.
• Serve as a resource for quality and regulatory questions.
• Collaborate with leadership to promote accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications Needed:

• Bachelor’s in General Studies; 2 years’ experience in the healthcare field.
