Job summary

SureFire LLC is seeking a Quality Inspection Lead to direct inspection operations across multiple production lines in Fountain Valley, CA. You will provide technical leadership for inspection equipment programming, troubleshooting, and conformity to ISO9001/AS9100 while driving continuous improvement.

Aerospace manufacturing experience is highly valued. You will train and mentor staff, collaborate with production and engineering to resolve defects, and ensure regulatory adherence and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
• Certification such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense/medical devices) preferred.
• Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional quality improvement projects a plus.
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, inspection tools, and ISO 9001 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily quality inspection activities across multiple production lines to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain inspection procedures and protocols to detect product defects and deviations early in the manufacturing process.
• Train, mentor, and supervise quality inspection staff to enhance their skills and ensure consistent application of quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and supply chain to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze inspection data and generate detailed reports to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal quality management systems.
• Participate in internal and external audits and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to elevate overall product quality.
