Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Mission Assurance Quality Assurance Lead to support receiving, in-process, and final inspections at its Elkridge, MD sites and to ensure conformance to QAD criteria.

You will work with manufacturing and engineering to improve processes, review inspection outcomes, and assist with ISO audits. US citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience in Defense Industry, Quality, Inspection, Shipping and/or Manufacturing.
• Experience using SAP for receiving, inspecting and shipping processes.
• Experience with electromechanical assembly and shipping/packaging requirements.
• Experience using CADSTAR to review engineering drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance; US citizenship required.
• AS 9100 experience and DoD customer interfacing is a plus.

Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Mission Assurance Quality Assurance Lead based out of Elkridge, MD.You will support both our Elkridge and Halethorpe sites for various inspection processes.What You’ll Get to Do:Perform receiving inspections.Support 1499 storeroom and finished good inspections.Perform Final Kit inspection of vendor material in accordance to packing list and conforming criteria per QAD (Quality Assurance Directive)Evaluate in-process and completed sub-assemblies and systems and identify defects in accordance with governing documentation.Perform inspections using tooling and check-off lists for the complete inspection of sub-assemblies and systems.Interface with manufacturing operations and engineering personnel to improve processes and documentation issues.Review metrics, procedures, and techniques used to inspect materials, parts, units, and/or systems that improperly passed inspection, in order to make necessary corrections to prevent recurrence.Support ISO Audits as required by audit coordinator.Submit contract end item product as required. Inspect shipment and shipping paperwork such as government/customer shipping documents, packaging and preservation information using applicable specifications. Some interface with contracts personnel is also required for shipping process.Interface with customer and government (DCMA) for required in-process inspections through final inspection as well as contract end item submittals and final pack and shipping process.Perform as a Quality Process Control Aide in an AS-9100 process-oriented organization.Basic Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience working within the Defense Industry, Quality, Inspection, Shipping and/or ManufacturingExperience using SAPExperience in electromechanical assemblyExperience with shipping/packaging requirementsExperience using CADSTAR to review engineering drawingsAbility to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearanceU.S. citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Active DoD Secret Security ClearanceAS 9100Experience interfacing with DoD customersExperience within a quality inspection capacityPrimary Level Salary Range: $54,517.00 - $132,658.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
