Fairlead Integrated, LLC. in Portsmouth, VA is seeking a skilled quality inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections at receipt, in-process, and final stages, ensuring compliance with NAVSEA and AWS standards.

Responsibilities include responding to quality issues, reviewing process instructions, measuring performance, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure on-time availability of NDT resources across multiple facilities. Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections at Receipt, In Process and Final Inspections IAW the drawing.
• Responsible for responding to and correcting quality issues.
• Review Process instruction and other special processes.
• Measure and report various aspects of quality performance to management.
• Perform receiving, shipping, and packaging inspections.
• Coordinate with all relevant parties on quality issues and audits.
• Follow established jobsite safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
• Maintain the ability to read and interpret plans, blue prints, and specifications (technical data) in a variety of provided hardcopy and electronic formats.
• Perform structural steel welding inspection in accordance with NAVSEA and/or AWS standards.
• Perform NDT‑VT, PT, RT, MT, & UT inspections of welded connections as applicable.
• Work with supervision, staff, vendors, suppliers, and customers to ensure the on‑time availability of NDT resources across multiple facilities.
• Maintain notes and related documentation and provide daily progress updates.
• Utilize company ERP/MRP software along with Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat to prepare and sign‑off on reports, COC’s, and other objective quality evidence.
• Provide oversight of and assistance to sub‑contract vendors and suppliers as applicable.
