A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. in Elizabethton, TN is seeking a Quality Inspector to examine machined parts, assemblies, and incoming materials to ensure they meet established standards.

You will perform daily QA checks, utilize gauges and calipers, and conduct SPC and CMM checks while supporting training for production staff. This full-time on-site role offers a team-oriented culture and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined parts, finished assemblies, and received materials for conformance to standards.
• Perform daily QA checks including leak tests, torque checks, and groove checks.
• Inspect incoming materials and participate in work center process audits.
• Inspect and calibrate gauges and tools; perform SPC and CMM checks.
• Assist with training proper inspection techniques to production colleagues.

Duties and responsibilities include the inspection of machined parts, finished assemblies, and received parts and castings consistent with established standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Duties:

• Inspection of parts and assemblies produced throughout the facility using gages, calipers, and other measurement devices.
• Daily QA checks such as leak tests, torque machine and grease applicators, taper checks, and groove checks.
• Inspection of incoming materials.
• Participate in work center process audits.
• Inspection and calibration of gages and tools being used.
• Perform SPC and CMM checks.
• Assist with training of proper inspection techniques to production co-workers.
