Job summary

Piping Rock Health Products is seeking a Quality Inspector to support the manufacturing and packaging processes. The role reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and involves ensuring GMP compliance, auditing records, environmental monitoring, and data entry.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred) and at least 1 year of QA experience in manufacturing, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to multitask and work autonomously.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of quality assurance experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of data entry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and control documents per SOPs.
• Monitor adherence to cGMPs.
• Audit production records for batch disposition.
• Perform setup and in-process testing to meet specs.
• Verify room and equipment cleanliness (visual and ATP).
• Perform AQL testing when required.
• Swab for environmental monitoring.
• Review documents for GMPS compliance.
• Maintain retain samples and batch records.
• Assist root-cause analysis of quality issues.
• Coordinate and support quality functions and projects.
• Interact between departments for quality purposes.
• Data entry of quality data into computer.
• File all quality testing records.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Job description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for providing QA support to the manufacturing and packaging process. This position reports directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and control electronic and non-electronic documents according to SOPs
• Monitors associates’ adherence to cGMPs.
• Thoroughly audit all production records and determine batch disposition
• Performs set-up and in-process testing to ensure products meet specifications
• Verifies cleanliness of rooms and equipment visually and by ATP testingPerforms AQL testing when required
• Performs swabbing for environmental monitoring
• Reviews document to ensure compliance to GMPS
• Maintains the storage of retain samples and batch records
• Involved in determining root cause for quality issues
• Coordinates and supports various quality functions and projects as needed
• Interact between departments for quality purposes
• Data entry of quality data into computer
• Filing of all quality testing
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
• High School Diploma is required, Associate’s degree is preferred
• Computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office is required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing setting is required
• Project management skills are a plus
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and organization skills
• Must be able to multi-task
• Ability to work autonomously
• All other duties as assigned

• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment.
