We seek a Quality Assurance Inspector to lead QA activities on complex projects at the Wallops Island site, ensuring compliance with contracts, standards, and codes. The role requires CQI certification, 6+ years of QA inspection experience, and 2+ years in a supervisory capacity, with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification is required.
  • 6+ years of experience performing QA inspections and administering quality control programs.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead quality role.
  • Experience inspecting complex components and systems across projects.
  • Strong ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience planning and conducting audits and evaluating procedural compliance.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a DoD Secret-level clearance; US citizen required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Quality Assurance Program Plan (QAPP) with defined roles, processes, metrics, and document control.
  • Design and maintain a QA Inspection Plan (QAIP) with defined inspection activities, frequencies, criteria, and non-conformance handling.
  • Perform inspections using drawings, blueprints, specifications, and documentation.
  • Plan, conduct, and document quality audits to assess procedural compliance and effectiveness.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a quality audit plan aligned with program and contract requirements.
  • Recommend and support process improvements to enhance quality performance.
  • Support training, mentoring, and communication of quality standards and procedures.

ERG is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to support and oversee quality assurance and inspection activities across complex technical projects. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality programs, inspection plans, and audit processes to ensure installations, systems, and deliverables meet contractual requirements, engineering standards, and applicable codes.

This is a full-time, onsite position located at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA.

Job Description:
  • Develop and implement a Quality Assurance Program Plan (QAPP) defining roles and responsibilities, quality issue identification processes, performance metrics, and document control procedures

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Certification as an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
  • 6+ years of experience performing quality assurance inspections and administering quality control programs
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead quality role
  • Demonstrated experience inspecting complex components and systems
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
  • Experience planning and conducting audits and evaluating procedural compliance
  • Proven ability to analyze production data, identify recurring defects, perform root cause analysis, and recommend process improvements
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
