Responsibilities

• Precision Inspection: Conduct thorough dimensional inspections of components and assemblies using advanced metrology tools (Romer Arm) alongside standard precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
• First Article Inspection (FAI): Execute and document comprehensive First Article Inspections strictly adhering to AS9102 guidelines.
• Process & Surface Verification: Verify protective coatings, surface finishes, and special processing against engineering drawings and spec sheets.
• Nonconformance & Quality Control: Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials to maintain total product traceability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with machinists, quality engineers, and production staff to address quality discrepancies and evaluate workmanship standards.
• Equipment Compliance: Ensure all inspection gauges and precision tooling are fully calibrated and compliant prior to use.
• Operational Standards: Maintain 5S, safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives across the inspection station.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 6 hours at one time
• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
