Job summary

Wingbrace seeks a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in a Lincoln, MA hybrid/onsite role. You will engage in manual and automated testing, develop test plans, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure software quality for government projects.

You must hold a Secret DoD clearance and have a technical background with strong communication skills to present findings to leadership and clients. A BS/BE in a technical field is required.

Qualifications

  • Have a minimum Secret US DoD clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any science or technical discipline (B.S. or B.E.). Three or more years of experience in software development, software testing or similar roles.
  • Ability to build and perform manual software testing processes.
  • Familiarity with software testing in relation to product development stages.
  • Ability to conduct test analysis and verify quality requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for technical presentations.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages (Java, JavaScript, or Python).
  • Referenceable project-based experience in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support selection and use of testing tools and methodologies to identify defects and ensure quality.
  • Evaluate test results, implement improvements to testing and release processes.
  • Ensure milestones and budgets are met for projects/departments.
  • Develop and use functional, operational and regression test plans.
  • Test integration of HW/SW (COTS, GOTS, GFE) against technical requirements.
  • Draft, revise, and approve test plans and scripts.

Responsibilities

This opportunity will be client facing, and collaborative with a lot of growth. You will present to the highest levels of the division and be asked your opinion. You will work with an experienced team who will mentor, coach, and share best practices. Day to Day responsibilities As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will have the opportunity to leverage and grow your quality assurance expertise by:

  • Supporting the selection and utilize tools and testing methodologies to ensure that software tests identify defects, fail to meet requirements and comply with company quality standards
  • Evaluating test results against expected results, implementing improvements to the testing and release process and recommending alternative testing as needed
  • Ensuring that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
  • Developing and using functional, operational and regression test plans
  • Testing the integration/demonstration of HW/SW (e.g., COTS, GOTS, and GFE) for assessment against the initiatives’ technical requirements
  • Drafting, revising, and approving test plans and scripts
Skills/Education/Certification Required Qualification
  • Have a minimum Secret US DoD clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any science or technical discipline (B.S. or B.E.) * Three or more years of experience in software development, software testing or similar roles
  • Ability to build and perform manual software testing processes
  • Familiarity with software testing in relation to specific stages of product development.
  • Ability to conduct test analysis and verify quality requirements
  • Demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, presentation, and communications skills for developing and delivering technical presentations.
  • Basic understanding and some proficiency in a computer programming language (Java, JavaScript, or Python)
  • Referenceable project-based experience in a team environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, dynamic team environment.
Nice to have skills
  • Ability to build and perform automated software testing processes.
  • Experience with QA automated testing tools
  • Experience in A/B testing tools.
Salary

The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
