Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting large-scale Agile programs.
  • Experience developing QA program management plans and conducting internal process audits.
  • Experience conducting peer reviews, process auditing, and/or software configuration audits.
  • Experience with, or strong familiarity with, Quality Management for Software Development and IT Service Management projects.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data and developing actionable metrics and reports.
  • Experience recommending, facilitating, tracking, and reporting on continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate closely with the program team to implement and execute the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Recommend, facilitate, track, and report on continuous process improvement initiatives and activities.
  • Support the program-specific tailoring of the QMS and the deployment and implementation of appropriate QMS processes.
  • Support the development and collection of performance metrics.
  • Document and drive resolution of nonconformities and requirement escapes through root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Contribute to required Leidos quality reporting, including Quality Management Reviews, In Process Reviews, Weekly Activity Reports, and Monthly Operational Reviews.

Leidos is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support a high-impact, multi-agency program serving the United States Space Force (USSF)/Space Systems Command (SSC), the United States Air Force (USAF), and other key mission stakeholders. The selected candidate will play an important role on a critical program focused on enhancing, testing, and deploying a large-scale Satellite Communications (SATCOM) system within an existing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in public key infrastructure (PKI) and Agile development, along with exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

The selected candidate will be a key member of the team, responsible for ensuring the highest quality service is delivered to the customer by developing and managing program processes, conducting regularly scheduled internal process audits, and consistently driving structured improvement activities. The ideal candidate will act as a change agent, demonstrate high energy, exhibit a strong commitment to quality, and be self-motivated. The selected candidate will be required to quickly build effective working relationships with coworkers and customers across multiple disciplines, levels of authority, and, when necessary, different locations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality service is delivered to the customer through the development and management of program processes, the execution of regularly scheduled internal process audits, and the ongoing leadership of structured process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as a change agent, bringing energy, initiative, a strong commitment to quality, and a high degree of self-motivation to the role. This individual must be able to quickly establish effective working relationships with coworkers and customers across multiple disciplines, varying levels of authority, and, when necessary, geographically dispersed locations. Success in this role will also require strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to influence process improvements that enhance program performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

  • At least 2 years of experience supporting large-scale Agile programs.
  • Experience developing quality assurance program management plans and conducting internal process audits.
  • Experience conducting peer reviews, process auditing, and/or software configuration audits.
  • Experience with, or strong familiarity with, peer reviews and process auditing.
  • Experience with, or strong familiarity with, Quality Management for Software Development and IT Service Management projects.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data and developing actionable metrics and reports.
  • Experience recommending, facilitating, tracking, and reporting on continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Clearance Required: Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Work experience as a Software Development Manager, Software or System Risk Manager, and/or experience with software and IT contingency planning, disaster recovery planning, and related operations.
  • Extensive experience with CMMI, ISO, and other quality management systems and standards.
  • Experience with Section 508 compliance.
  • In-depth experience supporting large-scale software and IT programs.

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
