Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in software development and quality assurance.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Test Planning and Design: develop comprehensive test plans and cases from requirements.
  • Test Execution: run manual and automated tests to identify defects and validate functions.
  • Regression Testing: verify that new features don’t break existing functionality.
  • Load and Stress Testing: assess performance under varying conditions.
  • Bug Tracking: identify, document, and track defects.
  • Reproduce and Verify: work with developers to reproduce issues and confirm fixes.
  • Issue Escalation: prioritize and escalate critical problems for timely resolution.
  • Automation: develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.
  • Process Improvement: continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • Reporting: create detailed test reports and quality metrics.

Job description

MS SHIFT is a fast-moving company seeking a highly motivated team player to join our QA team. The QAE is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through systematic testing and validation processes, working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify issues and improve product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Design
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Identify and create appropriate testing environments, tools, and resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Test Execution
  • Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, ensure functionality, and validate performance.
  • Conduct regression testing to verify that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
  • Perform load and stress testing to assess system performance under various conditions.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
  • Work with development teams to reproduce issues and verify bug fixes.
  • Prioritize and escalate critical issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Automation and Continuous Improvement
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reporting and Documentation
  • Create detailed and concise test reports, including test results, defects, and overall quality metrics.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, procedures, and outcomes.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in software development and quality assurance.
